Research Assistants

 
 

Jennifer Kim is an undergraduate student at The George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, majoring in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Data Analytics and a minor in Business Administration. She is currently an administrative assistant for the GW SMHS Clinical Research and Leadership department, as well as a research assistant for Dr. Robert Turner. With a focus on administrative work, Jenny helps integrate new and oversee current research assistants on the team. She also manages modifications and submissions for the GW Institutional Review Board. On campus, Jenny is involved in Theta Tau: GW's professional engineering fraternity, Balance: The GW Dance Group, and serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Chair of the GW Engineers' Council.

 

Jessica Bride graduated from The George Washington University with a B.A. in Psychology and Criminal Justice in May 2022. In 2021, she was selected as a 2021-2022 Luther Rice Undergraduate Research Fellow. She has been a research assistant for Dr. Robert Turner since 2020 and works on the NFL and Caregiver studies as well as the media team. She is interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in health psychology. In undergrad, Jessica served as editor in chief for Capitol Letters: GW's Literary Magazine and The GW Undergraduate Review, GW's undergraduate research publication. Outside of work, she can be found cooking with friends, playing video games, or exploring DC.

 

Nino Nadareishvili is a research assistant at the R.W. Turner Lab. She graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a bachelor’s degree in political science and history. She also has a certificate in data analytics from General Assembly. Her lab work focuses primarily on the recruitment and data collection for the Brain Health and Aging Study.  Additionally, she works on community outreach efforts for the Black Male Caregiver Study. She is interested in pursuing a Master of Public Health and studying community approaches to addressing health disparities. In her free time, Nino likes to read, watch documentaries, and cook.

 

Arnav Mahajan is an undergraduate student at George Washington University, majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Business Administration with hopes to pursue a career in medicine. At GW, he is Assistant Supervisor of Operations on the Emergency Medical Response Group, a player on the club baseball team, and a member of the Indian Students’ Association. With his recently declared major in Neuroscience, Arnav hopes to delve deeper into this field at Dr. Turner’s Laboratory within the Athlete Brain Health & Aging Study as a research assistant.

 

Julia Sauriol is an undergraduate student at The George Washington University, majoring in Public Health and minoring in Biology. She is currently a part of the BS/MPH program as well, working toward her Masters in Public Health with a concentration in Community Oriented Primary Care. As she eventually hopes to pursue a career in medicine, Julia is interested in bringing a public health perspective to clinical outcomes and practices. At GW, Julia is a research assistant for Dr. Robert Turner, Operations Intern and Education Chair for One Tent Health, and Vice President of Global Brigades. In her free time, she can be found exploring the different neighborhoods of DC, cooking with friends, and going for a run.


 

Emily McLean an undergraduate student at American University majoring in psychology and minoring in health promotion. She currently works as a laboratory assistant at American University in Dr. Laura Juliano's 'Behavioral pharmacology and health promotion' lab where she helps graduate students research how nicotine affects the human body. She started working in Dr. turner's lab in 2022 where she will serve as a research assistant in the Athlete Brain Health & Aging Study. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and exploring nature.


 

Priti Patel is an undergraduate student at San Jose State University, majoring in Public Health and minoring in Mathematics and Humanities. She works as a research assistant on the Athlete Brain Health & Aging Study and aids with recruitment and data collection. In the future, she is interested in pursuing a Master of Public Health with a concentration in Biostatistics. During her free time, Priti likes to spend time with her friends and family, cook, read, and exercise.
