Privacy & Confidentiality

The Athlete Brain Health & Aging Study will take several measures to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

• All information will be kept securely stored on protected computer servers at Duke University and at The George Washington University.

• We will use a study code in our research data instead of your name. This code will be kept separate from personal information and our research data. Any information that could link your personal information to your data will be kept in a password-protected computer in the office of the PI, study coordinator, or study doctor.

• Only members of the research team will have access to your data.

• We will never use anyone’s name or any individual’s personal information in our reports or articles about this research project. Instead we will use group averages and totals.
